Neuromap-PH

Neuromap-PH is the Philippines’ first national initiative in brain mapping, implemented through a strategic partnership between St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Launched in 2024, the program aims to strengthen national capacity for neuroscience by establishing a centralized data infrastructure for brain imaging, supporting evidence-based research, and contributing to improved clinical diagnostics. Through the collection and management of standardized neuroimaging data, Neuromap-PH enables collaborative research, local capacity-building, and informed policy development in brain health. The program also ensures ethical data use, secure storage, and inter-institutional coordination aligned with national development and health priorities.

Vision

To serve as the future national center for brain mapping and neuroscience collaboration hub in the Philippines, contributing to improved research capacity, clinical diagnostics, and data-informed approaches to brain health.

Mission

Neuromap-PH aims to support the development of neuroscience in the Philippines by:

1. Establishing a functional and accessible brain mapping infrastructure

2. Collecting and managing standardized neuroimaging data in coordination with local and international partner institutions

3. Facilitating research that explores brain function and health using local data

4. Providing Filipino scientists and clinicians with tools and resources to enhance their work in brain-related fields
